Yet again I've stumbled across something that stopped me in my tracks and I was immediately compelled to share it. This short film by Julia Warr is simply mesmerising, her sensitivity to the subject is almost flawless and the music...well, it's just perfect.
Enjoy 'My friend Maia'...it took my breath away.
A short introduction from the Director:
Shot in Fire Island, New York, this film (4min. 23 sec) captures the secrets of eternal youth as Maia Helles, a Russian ballet dancer turns 95 but still remains resolutely independent, healthy and as fit as a forty year old. Made by Julia Warr, artist and film maker met Maia on a plane 4 years ago and became utterly convinced by the benefits of her daily exercise routine, which Maia perfected, together with her Mother, over 60 years ago, long before exercise classes were ever invented. For the last six months I've been busily working on re-launching Fawn & Fox with a collection of carefully selected products for you and your home. The criteria for my selection has been unique, timeless design that you won't find easily elsewhere, items that make you look good but more importantly make you feel good.
Until now we've had great success with our kids products, but it was time to mix it up and introduce some newbies. While we were at it, we've updated the website design - we hope you approve!
So, after many long nights I can proudly say the new website has launched! Here's a handful of pics to whet your appetite....let me know what you think???
